Greetings and Salutations:
I'm RM Gray, a 33 year young husband, father, son, brother, veteran, student and minister.
My palette is extremely diverse with regard to interests. I'm a certified naturotherapy consultant, an amateur photographer, IT project manager and ordained minister.
The Natural Health portion stems from my time in the US Navy. There, I worked as a Hospital Corpsman...more specifically, an 8404 Marine Combat Medic. I learned quite a bit about shock trauma, ballistic injuries, combat tactics and weapons. I was however, a member of Clinton's Navy, and never had any actual combat experience. While I worked exclusively with conventional medical methodologies, I became increasingly interested in how the body could heal itself via alternative means. My philosophy is, 'Give your body what it needs, and it will do what it's supposed to.' Pretty simple, but increasingly difficult in a society where confusion (about what the body actually needs) and commercialism seem to be the order of the day.
It was during this time that I developed my interest in photography, primarily due to the sheer amount of travel and varied experiences. Photography just seemed the most poignant method by which to share my world with curious family and friends. The camera that I learned with is one I still use to this day...the Pentax K1000. While I primarily use digital media now, I still love the performance of this workhorse, considered by many to be one of the best all manual SLR's ever developed.
My path to ordination has been a lifelong process. As an inter-faith minister, my focus is on individual responsibility, spirituality, transpersonal psychology and holistic living. My beliefs are inherited from the core traditions of many of the world's great religions and faiths. As such, I draw my research from a variety of sacred volumes and esoteric texts. And this blog represents my chosen forum by which to contribute my little bit to the growth and development of humanity -- my ministry, so to speak -- but with less preaching and more serving.
